Bridging The Gap-Oregon (BTGO) values and respects your privacy so we’ve created a Privacy Policy that covers how we collect, use, disclose, and store your personal information. 

Collection and Use of Personal Information

Personal information is data that can be used to identify or contact a single person. You may be asked to provide your personal information while applying to use the Bridging The Gap-Oregon (Also known as “BTGHT”) mobile app as a City, Organization, or Member. 

Bridging The Gap-Oregon collects and uses personal information consistent with this Privacy Policy. You are not required to provide the personal information that we have requested, but, if you choose not to do so, you may not be able to use the BTGHT mobile app or other services. 

We may also have received your personal information from your region’s BTGHT mobile app “City Admin” if that person has shared their content with you or invited you to participate in the BTGHT mobile app network.

Examples of the types of information Bridging The Gap-Oregon may collect:

  • When you apply as a “City, “Organization,” or “Member,” to use the BTGHT mobile app, we will collect your personal name, email address, and phone number as well as the name, email address, and phone number of the references you provide.  

  • Your organization name, address, Tax-ID number, Board Chair or Supervisor’s contact information.

  • Your organization mission statement, practices, policies, and services provided. 

Bridging the Gap-Oregon does not collect or store device identifiers, IP address, location information, profile information, facial recognition or Touch ID fingerprints. These are part of Apple and Google Play device features. Please see their privacy policies for more information. 

How we may use your personal information:

We may access or process your personal information for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy for compliance with a legal obligation to which Bridging The Gap-Oregon is subject or when we have assessed it as necessary to disclose information.

The personal information we collect allows us to approve you as a member/user of the BTGHT mobile app network and keep you posted on latest announcements and software updates. If you do not want to be on our mailing list, you can opt-out anytime. Personal information will not be used for analyzing the success, failures, or needed improvements and updates to the mobile app. 

Disclosure to Third Parties

Bridging The Gap-Oregon does not share personal information with anyone outside of our organization, except when necessary by law, legal process, litigation, and/or requests from public and governmental authorities. We will disclose information about you if we determine that for purposes of national security, law enforcement, or other issues of public importance, disclosure is necessary or appropriate. We may also disclose information about you, but only where there is a lawful basis for doing so, if we determine that disclosure is reasonably necessary to enforce our terms and conditions or protect our operations or users.  This could include providing information to public or governmental authorities. 

Bridging The Gap Mobile App Regional Oversight: 

The Bridging The Gap-Oregon mobile app will be customized for each region with a “City Admin” designated to provide oversight of the BTGHT mobile app. All BTGHT mobile app members must comply with the privacy policy of the organization who oversees the BTGHT mobile app and must also be in compliance with this BTGHT Privacy Policy as well as any state or city regulations or requirements. 

Protection of Personal Information

Bridging The Gap-Oregon takes the security of your personal information very seriously. When you use the BTGHT mobile app, including posting on a forum, the personal information and content you share is visible to other app users and can be read, collected, or used by them. You are responsible for the personal information you choose to share or submit in these instances. For example, if you list your name and email address in a forum posting, that information is made available to other BTGHT mobile app members in your region/city.
